I met Dave during the summer before our senior year of high school. We started dating in the fall, made lots of great memories during that year, graduated together and never looked back. We dated for the next eight years, married and were blessed with four beautiful children. Dave treated me like a queen, always surprising me with little notes, sweet gestures, Hershey bars and flowers for no reason at all. We really appreciated each other and knew how lucky we were to have each other in this world. He was a very hands – on dad as well. Dave was very involved with baseball, gymnastics, and racing. He even had a race car of his own! We loved spending our summer vacations in Chincoteague, our home away from home. Our pups, spotty and Macy were also a big part of his life. Dave was a wonderful, giving person who always put others before himself. No matter how filled his days were, he was always there to lend a hand.
Yes, we were blessed with the best. We always knew we were his greatest gifts. He took much pride in providing for us and making sure every one of us was always taken care of. Dave truly was one in a million. He was taken much too soon. He will remain in our hearts, forever and always, until we meet again.
