Michael Glanville

Michael was an amazing husband and father. He had a great love of family and life itself. He always had a smile and a positive attitude no matter what he was experiencing. He would help anyone in need without reservation.

The Square comes from a plerzyna, a polish quilt, that was Michael’s great grandmother’s, which makes it over 100 years old. The fish expresses his love of any kind of fishing even though he never ate any of the fish he caught. The T.A.R.T.I.S. and shark represent his favorite Sci-Fi shows. Michael planned our Saturday evenings around Dr. Who. An Sharknado was as unrealistic as you can get and a guilty pleasure. The anchor and flag dedicate his service as a Vietnam Veteran in the U.S. Navy. The stars are his love for astronomy which he shared with our son through our background telescope. The doughnut is Michael’s love of Bavarian cream. The cat followed him everywhere and slept on his lap. The rainbow expresses his love for our son, Jason and his husband Edwin. From the first moment Michael met Edwin they connected as if they were old friends. Michael considered Edwin like another son. The music notes are his love of country music and Motown. He has a beautiful voice having sun in Motown as a bass in his youth.

The roses are his passion and commitment to MDA charities. Michael actively volunteered in rose sale fundraisers, eat-outs, and MDA summer camps. Even when he was wheelchair bound with continuous oxygen, he remained a cheerleader for MDA. The racing flags are his love for NASCAR. Michael had the opportunity to drive one of the race cars at Dover Speedway, The Monster Mile.

Michael was a beloved husband, father, and friend. He is greatly missed.
