The fabric we chose for our square is from one of our dad’s work shirts. Every day he went to work in a long sleeve T-shirt and this one had a frayed collar and we had to cut from the back of the shirt because of stains on the front. The stains and small holes in the rest of the shirt are evidence of the hard work he did day in and day out to support his family.
The picture in the center was taken at a family party and he was always at the center of every party, telling stories and making people laugh. Our father would always help anyone in need and we are proud that we carried on that legacy through the Gift of Life Donor Program.
