This quilt square I’d built on a solid foundation of love, depicted by a heart. John was very loving and giving; it seems quite fitting that his heart has enabled another man to continue his life’s journey with his loved ones. In this photo, he is in a position that was quite familiar and is comforting to ma as I prepared the square. John pursued his love of music as an adult by learning to play the guitar. He and his son share this passion and often played together, using software from “Guitar Hero” to guide and enhance their performance. Playing together was a joy for them; listening to them play was a joy for me! The photo depicts John sitting in his favorite chair with his laptop perched on a footstool so he can follow the chords on the screen.
