Daughter, Sister, Wife, Aunt, and Friend
Jane had a great lookout on life. She was always positive. She was outgoing and had a great sense of humor. Jane was well known in the community as the smiling face behind Sloppy Janes Café and Deli, which she and her husband, owned and operated for over 20 years. Even though the last years of her life were spent in a wheelchair, she did not let it define. She refused to think of herself as handicapped. She was huge advocate for kidney patients life herself, writing letters and speaking to state legislators regarding high, quality dialysis care. Jane never complained of the constant pain she was in. She suffered through numerous medical treatments and remained optimistic even as her health continued to decline. She was the strongest, bravest, most giving person I knew.
The paw prints represent Jane’s love of animals. She especially loved her dogs, and rescued and cared for many throughout her life. I know in my heart that she is now in heaven, with our Dad, surrounded by all the dogs that she loved throughout the years and is happy to be with them again.
We will miss her always.
