Luis Matias always loved taking his family out on trips to experience new and exciting things whenever possible. The quilt square provided is a picture his wife took during an air show he took his family to in 2016. He and his family loved the experience, especially his oldest son, who Luis knew loved seeing planes and jets. In the photo Luis is posing in front of an airplane that said “Panchito” on it, which is an endearing nick name for a child in the Puerto Rican culture. Luis was a family man at heart and always tried to give his children good memories to keep, as they grew up. Now he lives on in his family’s memories and through his gift of life in his organ recipients.
