Courtney Lyn Reeves was killed on 6-29-20 while a passenger on a ATV. This quilt square will help fulfill our promise to not let her ever be forgotten.
Courtney was a beautiful, smart, single 31-year-old and full of life. She had her Geology and enjoyed being outdoors, Kayaking, boating, skiing, hiking and bon fires were a few of her favorite activities. Eleven years ago she rescued, Riley, a pit bull mix. He was her faithful companion.
This picture was taken 4 months before she died, at her best friend Katie’s grandmother’s 105th birthday. It portrays her warm smile and sparkle in her eyes. Courtney always said “Love You” at the end of our conversations. She loved her family, friends, and pup and was always grateful for everything in life.
After donating her organs, we asked that she send us a sign that she was in heaven. A few hours later, a hummingbird came to the porch where we sat at. She looked us in the eye and we knew had arrived safely home. She had successfully made her journey and returned with her wings to prove it.
Courtney is forever in our hearts and loved by many. Her ashes have been given to family and friends who have taken them to many destinations. Her dream trip was planned in March 2023, the plan is to take her ashes to Iceland.
Fly high and enjoy your new adventures our sweet angel. Love you always and forever.
