Blue jeans, polo tee shirt and a clean, white handkerchief was Paul’s signature, daily wear. The finishing touches were a jacket and baseball cap (tennis or a favorite sports team)! This square represents a part of his favorite jeans, one of his many tee shirts and the always present white handkerchief in his pocket!
He played tennis as often as he could with like-minded club players in the Bronx, New York. Tennis was enjoyed in any form that was available as often as possible, including attending the US Open.
The God Bless American pin symbolizes Paul’s service in the Army, where he achieved the rank of Specialist 5 (Seargent). He enjoyed celebrating Veteran’s Day at the various restaurants that celebrated and thanked him for his service. Good food, lemon meringue pie, and a French martini! Thank you for your service.
Our quilt square is thank you for being “husband, dad, and grandfather”.
