Max was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend. His square comprises many of his favorite things.
Max had a beautiful, engaging smile – the picture is the best, recent picture of him, but doesn’t quite do justice to his smile or show off his beautiful blue eyes.
The background fabric is from Max’s favorite flannel shirt that he wore often (sometimes too often).
The Office was Max’s favorite TV show; we spent many hours laughing and watching together. The yellow pocket is from Max’s Dwight Schrute Halloween costume that he sewed himself.
The poem was written by one of Max’s friends and shows how much he cared for those he loved and how much we all cared for him.
The Alice Cooper patch is from a special concert he went to with his granddad and represents Max’s eclectic taste in music.
Chincoteague Island, Virginia was Max’s favorite place on earth. And without a doubt Max’s favorite spot was Mister Whippy. No trip to the island was complete without many ice cream cones from Whippy.
Max was a giving person and was his best self when he was able to help others. We are grateful that he was able to help so many other people through the Gift of life, where Max was able to donate his heart, liver, both kidneys, and skin tissue.
We love you Max-man – more than anything – no matter what.
