William Henry Pence Jr.

October 25, 1940 – November 6, 2000

This patch is a symbol of Bill and I always being together. Bill and I were married for 39 years. We were best friends and loved each other very much. The material used is from my sweatshirt so that a part of me will always be with Bill when the quilt travels. Traveling was something we enjoyed immensely. The photo of Bill was taken on one of our 20 cruises. We loved to travel during the summer months, taking two or three vacations every summer. Each summer we would take the entire family on a special vacation so that we could all be together, other than the holidays. The roses represent our love for each other, in addition to Bill's love for his son and daughter and his love as a "Pop Pop" to his four grandchildren. The roses also represent our love for Bill: husband, father, and Pop Pop.
