Gregg was both a recipient and donor. He received a heart on 08/26/04 but sadly passed away 08/29/04. All I was able to donate were his corneas which were used for research.
Gregg was a huge Santana fan. That is why I used one of his quotes on the square – "The mind is the house of questions and the heart is the house of answers" – Carlos Santana – '97.
I truly believe in angles and wanted to remember both Gregg and his donor; that is why I used a double set of wings.
They both will live on in my heart forever.
