Edward C. Shinal

I am so thankful my husband lives on through your eyes.

Let me tell you about those beautiful eyes and the wonderful person who donated them.

I called him “my gentle giant.” He was a big man, kind, compassionate, extremely intelligent, humble and loving and with a great sense of humor. He saw everything in nature as amazing and beautiful. His profession was pharmaceutical research, but his true love was being outside, and if possible deep in the woods.

Our three children learned to appreciate through his eyes, the beauty of the world around them. He was a sincere, honest person with a beautiful smile, who really loved being with people. But…know those eyes filled with tears when he saw others experiencing loss, pain, or tragedy. Tears of joy rolled down his face when he held his granddaughter for the first time. His life was one of sharing what ever he had with others. His latest research was towards helping relieve pain in people going through chemotherapy. Even in his death he continues to give…….

I just wanted you to know a little about the amazing person he was.
