This square honors the memory of Jonathan (Jon) Graves. It was his nature to give to others and so being a Gift of Life Donor would only seem appropriate. Jon loved his home and his family life. He was very proud of his sons from the moment they were born and a very loving husband. He volunteered in his community, becoming a part of his local fire company and set a good example for many young firefighters. He worked as a glazier and was proud of his trade and the union that supported him.
This square symbolizes those commitments. The three diamonds represent his family who loved him and miss him dearly. We are like the stars in the sky- always there to shine on his memory. His firefighter emblem and flag came from the jacket that he always wore and cherished. His glass cutter tie tack was always on when he wore a suit or tie. These are but a few memories and could never capture understanding of the man he was and the emptiness he left behind.
