Curt H. Pontz

June 1, 1948-May 15, 2007

Curt H. Pontz left us suddenly at the age of 58 years. He grew up as an only child, married, and became the father of two sons. He was a true family man, spending evenings home with the boys and weekends taking them back and forth to various activities. He was always on the sidelines for their games growing up and as they grew older he thoroughly enjoyed spending “grown-up” time with them. Curt loved, protected, and provided for his family to his fullest.

As an empty-nester Curt became the proud companion to two schnauzers, Clyde & Max. They were his generation of “boys.” He loved and cared for them always.

But it was the grandchildren that changed his life. He looked forward to every visit, gathering and holidays the “Grands”. He was a real push-over with them and cherished all four – Christopher, Meghan, Hailey, & Riley. His face lit up whenever they were around. It was always difficult to get Curt to smile for photographs, but once he had the grandchildren we have photos with big grins.

Curt also enjoyed the entire family attained through his marriage and those of his sons. He passed knowing that both his sons had connected with their true sole-mates. He loved and adored both his daughter-in-laws.

Curt’s dedication not only was channeled to his family but also his friends and business colleagues. He was dedicated to his career as a casualty underwriter and put heart and soul into it.

He was a meticulous individual and one to learn everything about a subject down to the smallest detail, be it business, electronics, travel, history, products, or home maintenance.

We miss him greatly; but know he is looking down and continues to lovingly watch over us.
