Lars Kenneth Goodman

Lars Kenneth Goodman preferred to be called Ken. He was born September 27, 1940. His mother named him Lars (which is Swedish) after reading a book with his name. Ken hated the name Lars and liked to be called Ken. He was one of four children and grew up in Mt. Aetna, PA. He attended school in Myerstown, PA and enlisted in the Marine Corp.

After being discharged from the service, he worked as a welder. He was married on March 27, 1965. Ken loved to agitate and had many friends, he also was very generous. He loved to hunt and fish (Canada mostly). Ken had two children Chris and Kelly.

As his health deteriorated he worked as a millright. He loved to read—mostly history about World War II and the 1920s. He enjoyed baseball and the Phillies were his favorite team. He also liked football and his team was the Eagles. Racing was another sport he liked and his favorite race car driver was Jeff Gordan.

Ken wanted to live long enough for the birth of his first grandson in 2006. He was able to see his grandson and enjoy some time with his family before he passed on August 6, 2006.
