Susan Hillman

Susan (Mitchell) Hillman was devoted to her family and loved ones. An admitted homebody, Sue was happiest when those she loved surrounded her.

After marrying her high school sweetheart, Don, she had one daughter, Sybil. Together, this group of three supported, loved, and protected each other with their whole hearts. Later, with the additions of son-in-law, Tony, and cherished granddaughter, Zoe, Sue was delighted to see her family expand and flourish. She took great pride and satisfaction in the accomplishments of those she loved and was a constant source of loving encouragement and support.

Sue's home was filled with laughter, music, and a spirit of selfless giving that Sue personified. It was in that spirit that Sue repeatedly made her desire to become an organ donor clear.

Although she had life-long health issues, Sue hoped that after her death, she would be able to provide healing and wellness to others who were suffering. At the time of her unexpected death, the decision to donate her organs was admittedly difficult, but her loved ones take solace in knowing that Sue's final request was fulfilled. Even in death, Sue's desire to help others serves as a fitting reminder of the beautiful way in which Sue strived to live her life.
