Kylie Marie York

I miss the stressful times that came along with being your daddy,

But I also knew in my heart, it was only you that made me happy.

From jumping on the bed, or just listening to you talk,

How I couldn't get you off the swing every time we hit the park.

And when you got sleepy, you got a cuppy and my shoulder.

I miss the way you'd watch Elmo's world over and over.

The time you dug into my pockets and gave the family my money.

How you'd lift up your shirt and show everyone your tummy.

I miss the way you ran around the house and left everything a mess.

The look of excitement in your eyes when you took your first steps.

I miss waking up on Saturdays and making bacon and pancakes.

The cute little way you gave fistbumps, high fives and handshakes.

There's so many memories, I could go on and on forever.

And that's probably what I'll do, 'til that one sweet day we're finally together.

So for the lonely days to come, I know you'll bless me with your grace.

No matter how many tears I cry or the number of times my heart breaks.

We love you so much. You're our Angel. Kylie is the best.
