Michael S. Morris

"I'm gonna soak up the sun,

"I'm gonna tell everyone

"To lighten up…"

Sheryl Crow's "Soak up the Sun"

Michael S. Morris (Mike) was born with a sunny disposition, a kind heart and a belief in the goodness of life. He was the beloved son of John W. Morris and Joan Roche, brother to Jack, Pam, Pat, Wendy, John, Stephanie and Cristine and uncle to Salvatore, Emily, Daniel, Sarah, Kyle and Copper.

Family was the cornerstone of Mike's life. He was born the middle child in a family of sharply different personalities who fought, competed and loved one another with equal passion. Mike was the brother who always got along with everyone, was easy going and was happy to do whatever the other person wanted to do. He was a jovial person throughout his life and always remained a kid at heart which endeared him to children and older people who loved his company.

His favorite activities were going to the movies, photography, being on the beach and boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ, regardless of the time of year with his family, traveling with John and Pam, visiting NYC to spend time with his Mom, Wendy and his niece and nephews, enjoying pizza or cheese steak and a coke while watching the Eagles, Dolphins, Phillies and Flyers, riding his bicycle throughout the area and stopping to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. Each day was a beautiful day for Mike, regardless of the weather.

Mike was a generous person but his greatest gift was organ donation to individuals who now have the chance for a better life. We are all grateful that part of him lives on. He was deeply loved and will be missed forever by everyone who knew him.
