Lee L. McKean was a quiet tender-hearted man who loved nature and his family. His quilt piece reflects the simplicity of his life and what he believed. His favorite Bible verse was John 3:16. He liked this verse because it was direct and to the point, much like himself. Though his hair had grown thin and sliver, he never lost the sparkle in his light blue eyes. His eyes and Lee's personality are reflected still in one of his grandson's. At the bottom of his patch is the hope Lee believed, that when he leaves this world, he will one day be reunited with those who love him.
