Alexander "Bucky" Clark

Alex was 7 years old and the kindest, most giving child who brought so much joy to his family…and to anyone who was fortunate to meet him. Alex was also known as “Bucky” to some family members but just Alex to me.

He loved the Hulk and we would often find him standing in front of the mirror exclaiming he was turning green. Spider-Man was another character he liked to emulate, and many times I’d watch in amazement as he crawled up the doorway or find him sitting on top of the refrigerator.

Nothing made him happier than having a $1 to buy ice cream at school and didn’t understand why he couldn’t have one as soon as he got off the bus. An aide at his school wrote to me about how he touched her life. She told me how on the playground boys played with boys and girls with girls ….but that all changed with Alex who included everyone in whatever scenario they would act out.

He never got to meet his maternal grandfather who passed before he was born but he would talk about him a lot so it’s no wonder that his passing coincided with his grandfather who he called “my best grandfather.” We never understood this but now we do.

Alex would be turning 21 this year and we miss him every second of every day. I cherish and am grateful that I was blessed to have him for the time
he was here.
