Steven, my friend and husband; your brilliant mind, gentle spirit, vigilant perseverance to live this life, talented tool maker, amazing soccer star. Fondness of music; especially the Beatles. Love of art, mostly Van Gogh. Appreciation of cooking; pasta sauces and soups. Joy of the ocean waves and the warmth of the sun. Your endless and deep admiration of your mother, Oma, father and brothers. Your love of Europe where you longed to live. We will always hear you laughing at the "stoogies" shows.
In your passing, my heart is saddened, but I know to live this life for both of us. I feel you and see you; your presence is here. You loved me and taught me; I felt and I learned. I know you and understand you like no one else could.
Your sadness is now your joy. I see you smiling in your black beret. Goodbye and hello. I'll live and let go. For you are finally at peace.
