Lester S. Mancilla
"Les" was a charming, honest, responsible and talented hard worker.
He was born in Philadelphia of Guatemalan descent and raised in South Philadelphia around the Italian neighborhood, where he got his love and passion of their culture, food and music.
Les trained as an apprentice in the culinary arts and became a chef. His passion for food and culture inspired him to travel to Barcelona, Madrid, London, Amsterdam, Prague, Hungary, Ukraine, Poland Slovakia and his big dream Italy.
Les had visited Florence and Venice many times over. In general he loved Europe and he loved Venice, where I am sure he is now.
His family and friends spoke vigorously about Lester's travels and his accomplishments.
He was my lucky star.
