Thomas Ancin

Tommy was a beloved son to our mom, and a brother to my sister Mary and I. He loved to be around people. You could always hear him singing Polka songs day and night. He looked forward to the summer bazaars, the Sunday Polka dances, and his vacation to Polka Weekend in Wildwood, New Jersey. A Phillies fan all his life, he enjoyed going to a Phillies game and watching them on tv. The U.R.S. (United Rehabilitation Services) was where he worked. Mary Thomas was always there to help him and our family. He looked forward to going to AKITION Club once a month. It was a social program for special people. He was the President and also the treasurer. He liked football. He would watch the Eagles and Steelers. He lived with his second family at Mountaintop, Pa. The Goodwill Industries took excellent care of him and made him feel important. He looked forward to Sundays. He would come to our Mom's for dinner. He didn't care about the dinner just what was for dessert.

We feel the loss of Tommy everyday, but get much comfort knowing that he gave someone the gift of sight. Whoever received this precious gift from Tommy can see the faces of their loving family, and the beautiful world all around them. We thank God for having Tommy with us for 50 years, although too short we do cherish the memories we have.

We miss you, and you will always be in our hearts.

Mom, Mary and Linda.
