Chadd P. Denton

Chadd, our son, brother, nephew, and father, died suddenly on October 3, 2010. Our lives have been changed forever. He was only 33 years old…too soon for him to have left us. Chadd was a sensitive, kind, and gentle man. He loved his daughter more than anything in this world. He was a bass guitarist and his music was his passion.

Chadd didn't have a mean bone in his body. He never judged others on who they were or what they were. He was fiercely protective of those he loved.

We know in our hearts that the decision to donate to the Gift of Life was what Chadd would have wanted to do. I, his mother, became aware of this organization long ago when I met Him Quirk from Lions Eye Bank at the place that I worked. Jim was a customer and was very informative about this program. It made sense to try and have something positive happen as a result of such a tragedy. It was comforting to know that we could help other with this donation.

Chadd is always in our thoughts and we will always miss him. We still see him in his daughter, Chloe's, eyes. Chloe just turned 5 years old and talks about her daddy often. We are glad that she had such fond memories of how loving her daddy was to her. Chloe is the light of our lives.

Although Chadd's passing, is a tremendous sorrow, he left us with this incredible child…his greatest gift!
