Nicole Leigh Hefferon

I am writing to give you some information about my daughter Nicole, better know to family and friends as Nic. Nic was 31 and she was my only child. She and I had a great mother/daughter relationship, she was my best friend. Nic is also survived by three children, her grandparents, many aunts, uncles and cousins, numerous friends and her beloved dog Fallen. We are a very close family and we all have struggled with the passing of Nicole.

She was born in Hawaii, probably the reason she loved the beach so much. Some of her interests as a child were playing with her Barbie dolls and her cousins. She moved to Pennsylvania when she was six and then moved to Maryland where she loved until a few years after graduation. Some of her interests in high school were tennis and cheerleading. Nic made friends easily, she was a kind, generous and compassionate soul. Nic attended the Pennsylvania College of Technology where she majored in Graphic Design. She loved to do "artsy" things. She enjoyed planting flowers and she especially loved to cook, trying new and unusual recipes. She had a huge collection of recipe books and magazines. She also loved to take photos of anything from nature to people and especially her children.

Nicole left three children, a seven year old son, Mason, a five year old daughter, Lily, and a year old son, Parker. Nic was an awesome mother that loved her children unselfishly. She was a day care provider in her home for the last four years. She cared for children before school and after as well as some younger children throughout the day. Nic was definitely a "giver" in life and that made the decision to donate her organs easier for me and the family. The loss of Nic has been tremendously difficult as you can imagine, but knowing part of her lives on, gives the family and me a sense of continuation of her life.

Wishing you peach, love and happiness,

Joyce, Nicole's mother
