Anne-Marie Konviser converted, in young adulthood, to the Bahá'í faith, and the quotation here is by the founder of that faith, the 19th Century Persian spiritual leader Bahá'u'lláh. Anne-Marie was always on a spiritual journey, and embraced various sources of spirituality, including her husband Dan’s Judaism, her son Harley’s newfound devotion to Christianity and her sister Margaret’s non-denominational spirituality. At the same time, she found much enjoyment in this world, as illustrated in the photo of her here, showing her on the “deckony” as she called it (she loved humor) of her vacation place in the Outer Banks of North Caroline, not far from her roots in Virginia. While embracing her Southern roots, she lived her last 20 years in Pennsylvania and took an interest in Pennsylvania Dutch culture. An avid reader and a gifted writer, Anne-Marie, having read a novel about Dracula, undertook to write her own novel on that subject and did research into the culture and histories of Transylvania, Great Britain, Ireland, and the Ottoman Empire. The novel remained unfinished at her death. Anne-Marie was also a talented artist. She left behind, in addition to the aforementioned husband, son and sister, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She is missed by all.
