Dajanique (Daja) Brown-Rogers

On April 13, 1998, God sent an angel to the earth in form of a 6 lb., 5oz, and 20 ½ inch long bundle of perfect baby girl joy. Dajanique Renee Brown-Rogers, affectionately known as Daja by family and friends, touched many lives and accomplished many things during her 14 years on earth. She participated in soccer and cheerleading, and was involved in the YMCA teen leadership club, which gave her the opportunity to grow as a young person, and to work with small children. Daja always had a way with small children and babies, and was often called “the baby whisperer” by family and friends. She was also a typical teenager, 14 and carefree in every sense of the word. She loved Justin Beiber, One Direction, Facebook, her cell phone, and her I-POD. She loved going to football games with her friends and staying up at night talking/texting on her phone about who the cute boys were and what she would wear tomorrow. Daja was full of life, light, and exciting energy. She left the stage of life suddenly, leaving those of us who loved clinging to the memories we have of her. Of her smile that could light up any room. A smile that is remembered by virtually everyone she came in contact with. Of her laugh, that was genuine, deep, heartfelt and contagious. Though physically absent, her spirit is with us, and we live each day in her honor… your welcome.
