Donna Garland

1948-2011

Donna Garland was the most giving person that anyone ever met as per her family, friends and even those who met her only once. She lived her life, with her husband of 45 years, for her two grandchildren and her only daughter. She donated to multiple charities and was an avid Bible reader and true Christian. Due to 25 years of diabetes she had been waiting for a liver transplant that didn’t come in time and therefor donated herself to the Gift of Life program, which was no surprise to anyone who knew her. All who knew her loved her and miss her terribly. The fabric used to make the piece was one of her favorite shirts and the picture chosen was from the second Christmas (1993) of her only grandson because it was her favorite time of year and truly displays her happy, carefree, and loving personality. The blue writing was done to add into the piece her favorite color and the word Gram used because her two grandkids called her that and they were all she lived for. The cross shows her undying devotion to God. The hearts show that she will forever live in our hearts. We hope to spread the love and generosity she made everyone feel through the love that we will forever hold for her.
