José M. Delgado was born in New York City, from Puerto Rican parents.
José was enlisted in the military proudly serving in the Air Force for 14 years. José lived most of his life in the United States of America but he often visited the island of Puerto Rico.
The design that I have chosen to represent him is a watchtower overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. This watch tower is located at the San Felipe del Morro Fortress in San Juan the capital of Puerto Rico. This was José's favorite place to visit. We have great memories of the time that we spent here with family and friends, memories that will stay alive in our hearts today and forever.
I am very proud of my son’s decision to become an organ donor; and very happy to know that he has become a blessing to the recipients.
His ashes rest at the V.A. National Cemetery in Puerto Rico.
