Yvonne was a person who was a little bit of everything to everyone who knew her. She’s played the roles of a Wife, Aunt, Daughter, Sister, Mother and best friend. She’s been an inspiration in so many ways that there is not enough ink or pages to say just how many ways that’s been. Yvonne had her trademarks, our way of remembering how fortunate we are that God allowed us to be graced by this angel. From her high pitch Minnie Mouse sneezes to her Betty Rubble laugh/cry, and of course never forgetting that hackle of hers. Yvonne always showed us the sun, no matter how gloomy the weather seemed. Yvonne is and always has been the strong one, because she knew that’s what we needed. She was the type of person that overlooked her own physical pain and needs to put that of her families first. She was a great wife who always supported her family and husband’s dreams. She was the Daughter that always made sure to check in on how Mom was doing. She was the big sister who I needed so many times and the voice of reason to our Brother. Yvonne has been a symbol in all our lives as a beacon of hope, strength and love. So in your memory this quilt will live on as a piece of you that we’ll get to share with one another.
