Daniel E. Siracuse Jr.

One definition of a hero: a man or boy admired for his bravery, great deeds, or noble qualities.

This is a photo of my hero Daniel E. Siracuse Jr. not only my hero, but a hero to many. Dan was a hero in life, after life also a hero by being a Gift of Life donor.

Dan was a loving husband, a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, son and cuz.

He loved his job as a crane operator and bridge carpenter. He was a teacher of his trade. He would share his knowledge and experience to all who wanted to learn. His smile was contagious, and always made you feel happy and loved.

My hero’s uniform was blue jeans, white tee shirt, work boots and his hat. I cute a white heart out of his tee shirt. It represents Dan’s pure heart, a kind, generous, loving, honorable, trusting, hardworking, respectful, helpful, brave, and noble man. The button is from his shirt, a hero’s shirt, sewn on with threads of love.

I have memories of our life together, birthdays, anniversaries and holidays. He would smile at me and make my day every day. We would laugh at silly jokes. I keep the feeling of him snuggled up close to me on cold mornings, and even the butterflies in my stomach when we first met. Every moment we shared I will treasure always. I will cherish, Dan my hero and his precious love forever. Thank you, Dan, for loving me.

Dan was a humble man. A simple man who led an extraordinary life in my eyes. He would say he was like Popeye “I yam what I yam” “They don’t make guys like me, you get exactly what you see” Kip Moore quote. An amazing man. A hero’s tribute to Dan! Love you!

Thank you, Dan for your gift of Love and Life!
