Cathy Mack

4-20-71 – 2-7-15

Famaily was important to Cathy. She was a devoted, loving, wife, mother, Nona, daughter and sister. She had two children, a step son/daughter in law, three grandchildren, devoted parents, three sisters, two brothers, many nieces/ nephews, cousins, friends and co- workers who loved and adored her.

Cathy always took care of everyone before herself and even when juggling her own crazy life she could never to say no to someone in need. Since she was the last to marry she spent many nights and weekends caring for her nieces  and nephews who had a special bond with her. Some words to describe Cathy: loving, thoughtful, generous, kind, funny devoted and hard working.

The quote was written in her words and expresses that being a Mom was her greatest achievement. Her favorite color was yellow and she loved sunflowers and yellow roses. She loved sports and played tennis, softball, soccer and was a cheerleader growing up. Her favorite sport teams were: football ( Cowboys)  and hockey (flyers).

Cathy also loved to cook and bake and could decorate cakes beautifully. She is best known for her parmesan Chicken, also known as “Aunt Cathy’s Chicken”, and her Pecan Sweet Potato casserole she made at Thanksgiving. Her favorite book series was The Chronicles of Narnia, which she read to her younger sister as kids, then as a mother to her children. She loved the beach especially Ocean City, NJ and would try and get down there often especially at Easter.

Cathy was full of life and love and was taken from us too early and suddenly. Our memories of great times with her and the sound of her laughter will never be forgotten. She is deeply missed and her love of life and family will remain etched in our hearts.
