Mike Kocher was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family fishing, going to Knobles and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed going to the Hanover Area football games. Mike supported his children in everything they did. From color guard to swimming for his daughter, and baseball to basketball for his son.
Born in Feb, 1972 he graduated from Hanover Area School. He was a member of the marching band and played at the services for vets. Mike was a member of Hanover Area Five, Ashley Fire, Volunteered at the Ashley Little League and Hanover Aqua Hawks.
Mike became very ill in 2010 with kidney and heart failure, but never gave up hope. Even though he went to dialysis three days a week, he took college classes. He was a fighter, even up until his death in March of 2015.
Even after his death he is helping others with the donation of his organs and inspiring high school seniors through the Mike Kocher Memorial Scholarship. He is greatly missed by his family and friends.
