Volunteer Ambassadors

Learn how you can help advance the mission of Gift of Life Donor Program by contributing your time, expertise and advocacy.

Gift of Life Volunteer Ambassador Program

Gift of Life Donor Program has an extensive network of highly committed volunteers throughout the eastern half of Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware. They include transplant recipients and patients, donor family members, living donors, friends and community members. Our volunteers, whom we call “Ambassadors,” are all dedicated to educating the community about organ and tissue donation and transplantation.

The Gift of Life Ambassador Program is a network of regional groups for those interested in working together and serving communally. They meet regularly and have set goals that support the work of Gift of Life Donor Program and Gift of Life Howie’s House.  County designations are listed for your convenience. You are welcome to attend the group that works best for you.

If you are interested in becoming a Gift of Life Ambassador, the first step is to fill out an application here.

Support and Community Groups
Hearts of Gold

Hearts of Gold is a group of donor family members, whose aim is to address the specific needs and issues of these families. The group focuses on supporting donor families in their grief through special speakers, educational topics and activities. When families can meet others who also made the generous decision to donate, they see that they are not alone and can experience the supportive camaraderie of the Hearts of Gold members.  In addition, the group participates as Home Cook Heroes at the Gift of Life Howie’s House several times a year.

Hearts of Gold meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at Gift of Life Donor Program’s offices in Philadelphia. For more information, please contact Lara Moretti.

York Area Transplant Support Group
