Heart transplant recipient Bill Soloway, of Lower Makefield, brought home the gold from the 2018 Transplant Games of America held earlier this month in Salt Lake City.
Soloway participated in the biennial event in 2016 — a year after he received his heart transplant — but he did not win a medal. He told this news organization that he wanted to win this time around for his donor family — and he did. He won gold in badminton singles, bronze in badminton doubles and bronze in cycling.
