Patrick Brett, a guidance counselor at North Penn High School in Lansdale, has always loved the game of baseball, but a heart condition sidelined him from going after his dream of being a professional baseball player.
He and his family discovered his condition after he passed out on a basketball court at the age of 14 years old because of a weak heart. His doctor told him he could never play sports again.
