Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend

With every day that passes, the beautiful ways you have touched our hearts are revealed more and more. You had a warmth and love that shine on in all of us who were so privileged to know you. We hope that all who see this quilt will feel how very much we love you, and recognize what a gift to the world your life was.

We chose a calla lily, your favorite flower, to represent the beauty of your heart, which you opened for all your family and friends. The book is a symbol of your role as teacher, which you served in every area of your life. We know how you loved teaching those little ones in your classroom, but as your career changed, you still remained a teacher in your heart as you always strived to help others learn and grow and reach their goals. The lessons you taught as a Mother and Grandmother are still whispering to our hearts. The rosary represents your strong faith, which you lived everyday in the kindness and friendship you offered to others. The center of the square is the symbol of Mother and Child. This truly represents your legacy, and your greatest gift. You were a good Mom. Your children were the priority in your life, and that kind of love never ends. You loved the holiday season, especially for the opportunity to enjoy family that the holidays provided. We see you in the kitchen, always cooking and working so hard to make the time special. You filled the house with warmth and love.

We miss you every day. We will love you forever. We promise to try to live the love we were so lucky to have shared with you.
