John Michael Gresko

John Michael Gresko was devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, coffee drinker, and sportsman. Even if you were family, he was still your best friend. John was the luckiest man to find a woman to stick by him no matter what mischief he was doing to keep occupied. He raised three great daughters who gave him eight grandchildren and tested his patience at times, and then at other times joined him as partners in crime. Then he was blessed with his great granddaughter, she was someone to play with and blame stuff on.

John was a very hard working man, he made sure his family was taken care of. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved to cook, it was the best part of every holiday, besides seeing what kind of trouble he was going to get into.

He loved to go fishing but unless you were there, you knew not to believe his “the big one got away” story. He always said the best naps he ever had were when hunting. He would get into the woods and unlike normal hunters who look for the big buck, he would look for the most comfortable tree to sleep in. He took many naps a day which no one understood how, since he drank coffee all the time. If he was going somewhere and forgot his cup, no matter how far away he was, he would turn that car around to go home and get his mug. He took naps in his chair, in front of the television, with the volume all the way up. I still can’t understand how he was able to nap with all that coffee he drank. He is missed but still loved by everyone.
