John was part of a large family, growing up in Burlington, New Jersey. In his late teens John became a volunteer firefighter and continued to volunteer until his health became an issue. John’s interest in the fire department was a big part of his life. John was a big guy with dark hair and blue eyes, a caring and loving man, John would do anything for you.
John loved the Jersey shore, Slurpies, warm homemade cookies, strawberry shortcake, and a good steak dinner. He collected many things including baseball caps, fire department collectibles, DVD’s and CD’s. John enjoyed country music, watching the country music video channel and playing games on the computer—Solitaire was his favorite.
This square represents John’s love for his pets with the dog and cat, the butterflies for his wife Linda, and the fire equipment shows his love for the fire department. His unconditional love for his family and how he impacted those who knew him, John will be remembered as a big guy with a big heart.
