Edward T. Milbourne Jr.

September 8, 1955 – November 19, 1997

I met Eddie when I was 15 and he was 16 years old. We were married when Eddie was 17 and we had our daughter, Tracey, by the time he was 18. Eddie lived in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia. Growing up, we "hung" at Enfield Park with our friends. Thirty years later, I am still friends with this same group.

When Eddie died, these same friends had a benefit for Tracey and I. They are part of an organization called "E.A.S.T." It i s an acronym for Enfield Always Staying Together. It was a time to remember Eddie. Our fiend, Lisa Ballentine, presented me with a Book of Love. She wrote the poem that is on Eddie's quilt square. The poem is so beautiful; I wanted to share it with others. It is the story of Eddie's all-too-short life. Eddie was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, pappy and friend. Eddie will never be forgotten. He will live in our hearts forever. Eddie also live on through others because he gave the greatest gift of all…….
