Marcos Martinez

1985 – 2007

This was Marcos Martinez. Born on August 13, 1985, at Perth Amboy General Hospital. Everyone's eyes were on him. Big baby, 10 lbs, 2 ozs, 21 ½ inches. Big Baby. Grew up with good sentiment, kind hearted, loving, fun to be with, life of the party, but always trying to keep away from trouble, even though trouble follow him. He would go home to stay away, for that he was called coward, because he would not be fighting back. He always says what would happen and defending others, that would get him in trouble, not for himself, but defending others. He has two full-blooded brother and sister. Manuel, 34, is in the Army National Guard. 3 kids. Sister Melina, 30, actually unemployed, caring for her baby, also has 3 kids. On fathers' side he has 7 other half brothers and sisters; Angel Manuel, Lydia, Hector Manuel. Orlando, Edna, Edwin and Tony. On his mother's side 1 more half brother, Leonel, 9 years. He kind of looks like Marcos. Marcos liked giving a helping hand to whomever needed-in all ways he could help. He worked selling ice cream in the summer. He had a kind heart there too. You see those that couldn't pay he would give them free ice cream. That I overheard a father saying at his viewing. At winter he would work at a woodcraft furniture, till his end…

He lived helping others and when he passed on he helped others not knowing. Marcos Martinez Mercado, he is missed by all of us, mother, brother, sister, nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and grandma. Left me no siblings to keep me up to him. My heart still mourns for him. I miss you dearly, Mom.

Till we see you again.
