Steven Michael Laird, Sr.

A person is many things in Life. Stevie was everything to our family. Having to use material things to describe him was a very hard task there was nothing simple or easy about trying to project to the world who he was.

What objects do you use to show who a person was? Memories and emotions are held within our hearts and memorialize din moments of time. Every stitch that was sewn carries remembrance and tears, laughter and smiles, you may not be able to physically see them but we know they are there.

Through his departure from this world he left more than any words can ever express but his legacy lives on through his children and grand children and a few special people whose lives were connected to ours by receiving a gift from him, life itself.

So we started with material and thread and patches and buttons and we ended up with a piece of everyone who loved him sewn together with compassion him with the world who did not know him. You may not know who he was or what he meant to us but each and every one of us do. This piece of guilt symbolizes a person who was loved, a person who has imprinted a memory of a man, a part of our lives that will never be forgotten, a person who made the quote, “Love is not who you can live with, Love is who you can not live without” very real to every member of our family.

Appreciation is the most wonderful thing in life, and we appreciate every moment that he was in our lives, and every memory that the left us with.

We love and miss you more than you can ever know.
