Charles F. Rickard, Sr.

Charlie Rickard Sr. – my Best Friend and the Love of my Life. The pride and joy of his life were his children and grandchildren. Charlie’s love of music was a guiding force in his life and he enjoyed attending the Jamboree in the Hills every summer.

Charlie was a wellspring of knowledge on many subjects and always willing to share that knowledge with others, whether he was shooting pool, working on cars and music, being the deejay at parties, welding, or sheet metal fabrication. Through the companies he had worked for, he had made parts for the Hubble Telescope and built the Charles “Rip” Engle Memorial arch at the athletic field in Waynesboro P.A. Charlie worked hard and played hard, and he never got the two confused.

Charlie was always there to help many friends and acquaintances.

Charlie wore thick glasses all his life and would be so pleased to know he helped two people see with the gift of his corneas.

His Family and Friends miss him dearly.
