Samuel David Wentz

Sam was a good husband and father. He was always there to help us. He made us laugh when times were tough. He always found a way to make people laugh. He was known as the town jokester in the community of Porters Sideling and Spring Grove. If anyone was down and out, he would help them out. He could make a person laugh when they really wanted to cry.

Sam had a lot of friends. He was always out to breakfast with his friends. He was always having fun with the waitresses. He was well liked by his co-workers. He was loved by all his family.

The patch represents the time he served our country. The ship is the actual ship that he served on. He went to Panama several times. He crossed the Equator 4 times. He served from 1965 to 1969. The background shows the branch of service which was the Navy. He was very proud of serving his country on the USS Talbot County LST-1153.

We are thankful that Sam lives on in our hearts through the Gift of Life Donor Program.

Love Always,

Mark, Jodie, Donna, Ivan and Tammy Wentz
