Roberta Ann Denham

July 1, 1945 October 26, 2010

Roberta the woman we called mom was born in Colorado to a loving German family. That family atmosphere is what drove her passion for people and community. To explain Roberta's drive and devotion would take more time than we all have. Needless to say she loved to travel, seeing many places and different parts of the world. From Alaska to Peru, Midway to Israel, and many points in between. All the while she worked thirty years for the State of Colorado in several different departments. As a volunteer for her church, the State capital and as a children's advocate through CASA she was able to touch many lives. But to speak of our mother we would lax in mentioning that she was a RABID DEVOTED CRAIZED MANIACAIL DENVER BRONCOS FAN.

These are the things that drover her. Family, God, friends, the love of her state, and travel these excited her. In the end all that was left for her was to see the U.S.A a dream she never realized. The epoch journey to quote her words. She packed up and left everything behind to see what this Great Nation had to offer. With her youngest son they set out to see what the future held.

Unfortunately, three weeks in to this journey we lost her. That loss was someone else's gain. She was a donor, the desire to give unto others reflects on personality. My hope that through that gift that some of her vibrant spirit lives on. The design of the quilt square is the Blue Columbine the state flower of Colorado. Simple but complex that is Roberta Ann Denham our mother and friend. In this simple way we share her with you.
