The day that God called Mikey home our lives were changed forever. He was such an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.
This quilt represents one of the many things Mike loved to do – go hunting with his brother, father and friends. In his short life Mikey touched the lives of so many people – he was an all-around great guy. To whose paths he crossed he left a lasting impression. He had the biggest heart and would go out of his way to help anyone – without ever asking for anything in return.
That is why when were asked about organ donation after Mikey passed away we knew without a doubt that is what Mikey would want. He loved life and lived every day to its fullest. And now 3 families have their loved ones still with them; 2 people have their sight again through the Gift of Life organ donation program.
Although we start each day with a hole in our heart we thank God for the 21 years of wonderful memories he gave us with Mikey. No family could have been more blessed. Until we see you again – We love you Mikey & we miss you.
