May 16, 1993 – May 1, 2011
This is my son Landen Tanner Hyde, everyone called him Lanny. Lanny was born on May 16th, 1993 and returned home on May 1st, 2011. We all miss him and think of him every day. I have so many wonderful memories of Lanny; I will always see his infectious smile, bright beautiful eyes and remember his kind and tender heart. Lanny enjoyed many things in life, he loved playing all sports but to see him play football was the most fun; they would call him Landen the Lion because he played with such heart. He also took gymnastics for many years. He found a lot of joy in playing drums, and going to music festivals, the Grateful Dead was one of his favorite bands. Lanny loved traveling and meeting all kinds of new people, he appreciated and loved being in nature. He collected many things but collecting crystals was spiritual for Lanny, he believed in all the good things they held with them. For me and his brother Max, Lanny was our special gift from God; that precious crystal that shines so brightly in our hearts. Making the decision for Landen to become a tissue donor was not a hard one to make knowing how much Landen cared for his fellow man I know this is what he would have wanted.
