John H. Davis III

September 24, 1954 – July 23, 2011

John H. Davis III, Jack or RIPPAR to his large family and many friends left this earth tragically on July 23, 2011 at the age of 56. Jack LOVED life and lived it large. He golfed, surfed, hunted, rode BMX bikes, fished, skied, restored old cars, loved sports (the Dolphins has been his team since he was very young), bowled and tried EVERYTHING. Jack got his most pleasure from spending time with his wife and his beloved son Jack. He was most proud of being a loving father. Jack cherished his time spent in the Outer Banks, NC where he has surfed and golfed since his high school years.

Jack played hard and worked even harder. He worked two jobs most of his life to provide for his family and to support his many interests. Jack’s most recent accomplishment was totally restoring his 1938 Ford Coupe which he took down to the frame by himself and totally restored. He was a master mechanic and enjoyed his cars. His family and neighbors never knew what care would be in the driveway as Jack would change cars as often as once a month.

Jack was thankful for all he had and he knew that God was by his side at all times. He was a wonderful, loving person who certainly left his mark on this earth, as well as part of himself by being a donor. Jack felt strongly about giving blood regularly and being a donor. My wish is that he has given a better life to many people by his donation.

With all of our love until we meet again my sweetie. Love you FOREVER.
