Brian James Fleagle

Brian James Fleagle was born on April 20, 1985. He was the second child and first male born in our growing family. Life couldn't be better. As he grew, he explored many activities that required coordination, athletic skill, and intelligence: swimming and baseball topped the list, although he loved to play basketball and street hockey with his friends. Brian's drive to do well also carried over to his schoolwork at a young age. He made friends easily and was very sensitive to other's needs. His smile would light up a room and his magnetic personality made him unique among his peers.

On December 11, 2002, God called our son Brian home at the age of 17 years young. His smile has never left us and his zest for life continues to keep us going. We miss him so much with a pain that pierces our hearts. We struggle daily with our loss but feel assured that his spirit remains with us always.

Our children are God's most precious gifts. They are ours to love, nurture, and guide on this earth. They capture our heart from the moment of birth and always possess that special place deep within our souls. Brian's siblings presently include: Jen 22yrs, Kelly 15yrs., Lauren 12yrs., and Michael 8yrs. Each child growing and learning to cope with such a devastating loss. Their strength is an inspiration and their courage, a glimpse of God's love.

The Gift of Life Organization has brought our family together in a way we never thought possible. We feel blessed to know that Brian's organs have survived to help others to live. He has given the ultimate gift and in the midst of our paralyzing grief, we rejoice in the miracle of life.
