James Byron "Jimmie" Kenton

Jimmie was 21 years old when he was fatally injured in a motorcycle accident August 29, 2003.

One of Jimmie's passions was customizing cars with customized body work, super tuned engines and sound systems.

The summer before his accident, Jimmie was featured on the front page of the Dover Post newspaper with a car he customized and entered in the Sound of Tri State's 8th Annual Thunder Jam Custom Car Show in Dover.

The headline was titled "Working the Angles." This meant that while most of the participants concentrated on either the body, the sound system or the engine, he had customized everything, covering all of the "Angles".

The photo on his patch of the Donor Quilt is the photo from that newspaper.

Jimmie took great pride in the cars he customized. The car he was in the process of finishing at the time of his accident has won three first place trophies in the last three months.

He was loved and respected by his family and many friends and will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity. His Gift of Life donation is an example of how he lived his life and one of the many reasons he was so loved.

Jimmie will always be in our hearts and always in our memories.
